Safety Tips Computer for Kids
Computer is a very important thing for people today, including your children. But unfortunately, not everything provided by computer (especially internet) is safe for your kids. Here are some important things you need to do to keep the computer for kids safe. Firstly and the most basic thing is to make “house rules” about using computer, and post it near your monitor.
Secondly, we know that internet can be the source of everything including unsafe content for your kids. So, you must use safe guarding programs that include monitoring or filtering capabilities. And then, tell your kids to always read the privacy policy before giving any personal information. Moreover, sites for children should not request personal information without a parent’s permission.
If your children use chat or email, tell them to never meet any person that they first know by online. Also talk to them to not responding offensive or dangerous email, chat, or others. Keeping the computer in the family room or other open area is also a good decision. But besides your computer at home, you also must be aware about any other computers they may use. The point is computer can be good for your childre, but its only if they use it right.
