How to Make the Kids Healthy and Active
It’s nice to have healthy and active kids, isn’t it? However, as technology develops, other problems may also arise. According to research, kids today are less active than before and they tend to suffer from weight problems than before. Kids today are being pampered by technology. They often spend too much time in front of the TV and computer. They often play computer game, but they forget about their own physical activity. That’s why parents should be aware with their kids’ condition.
How do the parents ask their kids to be active? They can try the following ways:
- Family is the first example kids will imitate. When you want your kids to be active, you need to be active too.
- Placing TV or computer on each room – especially the kids’ rooms – is a bad idea. You should only use 1 family computer and 1 family TV.
- Limit the time for the children to watch TV or play games. It’s better if you start asking them to play outside since they’re very little. It’s even better if you join them and play along.
- Remember, as long as the muscle and body remain active, it’s a kind of exercise too. Incorporate them in household chores. Set up schedule where each family member has their own duties and work on daily basis. It will teach the kids responsibility and also make them stay active.
